Valyettan is a Malayalam-language action drama film directed by Shaji Kailas and scripted by Ranjith, which released in theatres in 2000. The film was a major commercial success at the box office that year. Among its primary cast, the film stars Mammootty, Shobana, Sai Kumar, NF Varghese, Siddique and Manoj K Jayan. The film was released in Kerala on 10 September 2000. It was remade in Kannada as Jyeshta by director Suresh Krissna with Vishnuvardhan in the lead role.
